The Costume Designs for this production were reinterpretations of Jean-Pierre Ponnelle’s 1988 production with the introduction of a new chorus and supernumeraries playing the angry spirits of Don Giovanni’s past victims. The principal costumes included both existing costumes from the Ponnelle production and new looks inspired by the original color story and historical period.
